Unclip the 3 fixings (3) (quarter-turn) by means of a screwdriver . Remove the lower housing (2) with the flexible reservoir. Detach the flexible reservoir (5) from the lower housing (2). Uncouple and close the pipe (4). Remove the blanking piece of the pipe (4). Couple the pipe (4) to the flexible reservoir (5). The Eolys liquid pouch does eventually require replacement as original Xsara Picasso owners know all too well. I never experienced this problem myself on one of my previous cars, a 3.0D Jaguar XF, but other forum members were getting orange DPF warning lights, requiring an 'Italian tune-up' when they didn't do enough miles to complete the DPF -DPF removed for cleaning with Wynns Off Car DPF cleaner and replaced. Used Diagbox to tell it there was a new DPF.-Checked Glow Plugs and found one to be open circuit. Replaced-Dropped the Eolys tank and the bag in there is about half full, which tallys with Diagbox that was saying approx 1.3litres left.
This raises the temperature in the DPF to about 1 200 0 F (650 0 C), at which point the soot is converted into harmless ash, which is then expelled through the tail pipe.
