Theengine never misfires, revs cleanly throughout, is stable, idles solid at 750rpm and holds any particular revs, it just feels like it gets switched into Sunday mode every now and again. EngineManagement Light I would advise that you find another example. I have had the same problem on my Brera 2.2. The timing chain has been replaced twice and now the engine management is once again illuminated. The engine management warning light returned after about 8000 miles on both occasions.

The2.0 petrol and 2.2 diesel engines are unaffected. Some cars would have an interim catchment plate fitted under the scuttle drain point in the engine bay just under the drivers side wiper. If either this plate or the newer scuttle are fine if fitted but not a requirement for the OPs needs.

1592.2 JTS power steering pipe. I am having an issue with my Alfa 159 2007 2.2 JTS. An awful noise occurred a week ago that was found to be a leak in the power steering pipe. When you turn the wheel, fluid would come out a slight crack in the pipe. The 'issue' I have is that two different dealers in Sydney have given my mechanic 2 different Ive always wanted to have a crack at swapping the 2.2 (or a 1.8 MPI) for either a Saab B204 or B207 engine. They're both rock solid turbocharged 4 cylinders, they use engine blocks which are similar to the Z22SE which Alfa based the 2.2 JTS on so engine mounts, positioning, bell-housing fitment etc should all be fairly straight forward.

Hiall, I've owned a couple of Alfas but I'm new to AO. My 2013 159 3.2JTS has been running rough when I start it from cold, lots of vibration and a little rattle ifrom the engine bay. This morning the engine light began flashing in amber as I started the car but went off quite quickly. The car has only done about 61,000km so it's quite concerning.
22 JTS chirping - solution. Essentially even with the remap the dyno run was showing the car had a lumpy power curve which didn't make sense, also the engine would make the occasional rough running sound, not mechanical but almost an airflow issue. and then two weeks ago the car started chirping in the multi-storey car park.
