Like many folks with mesh wireless, I have been running a dedicated wifi router for my Virtual Desktop streaming to Quest 2. Since upgrading my mesh to the new Nest WiFI pro, I had seen better performance with my Quest Pro seated VR setup, but continued to use the dedicated router for my Quest 2 roomscale setup.
When I launch a game in SteamVR, I stop hearing discord and only hear the in game audio. Hey I thought id provide a quick blurb about what I had to do to get it working. 2 steps: ensure that passthrough is checked in the Virtual Desktop settings. Make sure your Input and Output for Discord are set to Default.
First, make sure your headset is connected to SideQuest. You can do this via USB or over WiFi if you have set that up previously. After you’ve connected, to start the stream click the “ Stream from your Headset to your PC with ScrCpy ” icon in the top bar. Choose your options and click Start Stream. A new window titled “SideQuest Stream One method is via Airserver however this is a paid product ($20) for a license. They have a 30 day trial I believe. I currently use the windows 10 edition and it works for me when streaming on discord. In your Quest or phone it should appear as a castable device. If you want to cast the Oculus Home environment, you can start the Oculus Mirror Tool. -The Oculus Mirror Tool is included when you download the PC App and its located at C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusMirror.exe. Right click on it and make a desktop shortcut for easy access!
Video streaming without using the camera or microphone. Hi everybody! I've got a great friend on Discord that I want to share movies together with. But she's got some real issues with being self-conscious in front of a microphone or camera. And almost every video sharing site starts with the words "First turn your microphone and camera on." Spent the better part of a weekend doing everything you can imagine, just make sure discord is set to your oculus mic and headset, make sure your sound is going to your quest on the bottom right of your screen, if it still doesnt work, pull out the link cable. Put it back in. Try that a few times and it might work.

Buy the legit version of VD. Then side load the version from SideQuest. Make sure your running the client on your pc. Have a good wireless connection, 5Ghz AC preferred. Open VD from your Quest and select the Steam VR button. For Quest games you’ll want to stream to the PC, using either the web browser technique or using Sidequest (scrcpy). Then you have it on the PC screen and you can stream it to Discord like any PC game. You just share it to your pc, capture it in OBS, stream it in your discord. No need to get obs involved.

Plug the Bluetooth Rx unit into your computer’s 1/8” microphone input. In Windows, you’ll likely get a pop-up when you plug the device in, asking what it is. kersonan. • 3 yr. ago. i could get screen mirror to work phone to screen, but LG's so called Smart TV software was just a huge ass pain to work with, with the chromecast its so simple, select cast, select TV and done. with the phone it was cast from quest 2 to phone then mirror phone to tv, too many things to mess it up. r/OculusQuest.
